Happy Birthday my sweet bride. I still feel this way about you.

The Zoo

About a month ago we went to the Ashboro zoo. We had a great time seeing all the animals. It was a pretty busy weekend for the zoo, so it was hard to stay together and linger over each animal. I think if we went again we would go during the week. We all still had a great time and so glad "grandma" could come with us. Daddy and Abel Man (when did he get grown?)

This is how Charlotte spent most of the day, looking sharky and wishing she were in her bed sleeping.

Boys!

So this is what happened when we added the brothers to the Easter photo shoot - crazy. A bunch of silly faces, wiggly bodies, Charlotte in a head-lock, and poking Marta. Well at least we tried :-) and don't worry no one was hurt in the making of these pictures.

He Is Risen!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday celebrating the risen Christ. We got to worship with our church family and then had a fun day outside with our families. I got these few pics of the girls, Charlotte and Marta, in their pretty dresses. When the brothers joined in the photo shoot got a little crazy. (I will post some of those out-takes soon)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY MAN!!!

Daddy, we tried really hard to get a good photo for your birthday but I just couldn't put down the ducky, frog and fish, so Charlotte had to hold the sign and.... well.... this is the best we could do. Thanks for being the best dad ever!!!! We love you. You will be receiving 100 kisses for your gift - hope you are looking forward to it, we are :-) - Abel

Eno Park

It was a beautiful day today so we decided to get out and have a little fun. We took lunch to Eno Park (in Durham), ate in the sun and then did some "hiking". We all had a great time exploring the forest. We saw lots of signs of beaver activity and even spotted a fun little turtle in the river. Praise God for such a beautiful creation! (notice the sweet beaver tree)

Charlotte - 9 months

We can't believe that Charlotte is 9 months old! She is a real joy - quick to laugh, quick to fuss and always so sweet and fun. We are thankful for our healthy (although she does have a little cold now) girl and have enjoyed seeing her grow. She now has 6 teeth (I am working on getting a good pic) and can pull up to her feet. She always stays with us in church and has been quieter than Abel was at her age. She is definitely our lovey girl. Having some fun

SNOW!!!

Abel has been waiting for snow all day and it's finally here!!!! One good thing about living in Durham is that you get MORE snow :-) We already have at least a 1/2 inch accumulation and it is still coming down heavily.

Being a boy

Abel had a great day at the park today. Unexpectedly his cousins
Lilly, Hannah, and Martha were there so it was a "maximum fun day," as
Sonya put it. It was fun seeing them playing around together. My
favorite part was when Abel and Hannah were running down a hill and
Abel did a face plant in the dirt, getting some in his mouth. He
looked up at Hannah concerned, but she just said, "it's ok, just spit
it out of your mouth," as she helped him up.

Christmas Cookies

William, Martha, and Julia had us over today to messy their kitchen and have some fun making Christmas cookies. The boys did a great job. Abel most enjoyed dumping all the sprinkles out and William enjoyed cutting, and re-cutting the cookie dough. We had a great time - thanks Moore family :-)

Charlotte's Stats

Charlotte went to the doctor today for her 6 month check up (she is 7 months). She continues to be over the 100th percentile for weight (21 lb 5 oz) and length (29 in). Her head is in the 75th percentile. Charlotte did great at the appointment and only cried a little after her shots. The doctor said she looked great , and that she was the average size of a one year old :-) We did get a prescription ointment to hopefully help with her dry skin issues, but other than that she is perfect. We are so thankful for our sweet girl. Charlotte smiles and laughs easily and is great at falling asleep quickly. We love her sooo much and praise the Lord for the blessing of sweet Charlotte Elizabeth.
