Beach

We are driving to the beach for some r&r. Abel is singing, "Jesus help me get the blood." There are a lot of words in the song like "and I don't have spots on me and I'm a super owl, and they know why."

The wait is over!

Last labor day weekend we put our house on the market. This labor day weekend we got our new place. Praise the Lord!

He's Curious

POTATOES!

Last week Abel had his first official sleep over at grandma's house (my mom). He did a great job without us. The next morning he took part in his first potato harvest. Gramps (my grandpa) has a large garden with lots of potatoes to collect. Abel had a great time working hard and getting dirty as you can see. Collecting potatoes in his bucket with gramps.

Boston

As you can tell I am trying to catch up on some blogging from our recent Boston trip. This is the view from our "Duck Tour" boat. I hope to put some video up of it soon to give you a sneak peak inside the tours. We had a great time in Boston.

We all had fun at Grams and Gramps' house on Wednesday. Abel even rode
around the field with Gramps on the tractor.

ONE YEAR!!!!

God has given us a wonderful year with sweet (and sharky) Charlotte. She has had an interesting first year. When she was 5 months old we sold our house in Garner and moved to Durham. For the past 7 months (we were "sure" it would only be a few weeks) she has been sleeping in our non-walk-in closet. She is quite happy in her den and sleeps best at "home" but I fear she maybe out growing the pack-n-play.

Charlotte definitely has a distinctive personality. She is sooo sweet, snugly and lovable but will also so let you know when she is unhappy and wants something different (this is her sharky side - known as Sharky Charlotte). Charlotte has learned to hold her own (unfortunately) with Abel and will hit at him with an open hand or give him a loud yell if he is bothering her. She continues to be quick to fuss but also easy to sooth. She sucks her thumb only when sleepy or sleeping so this is a great indicator for us.

We love our pretty little thing so much and are looking forward to many more exciting years of growing.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday my sweet bride. I still feel this way about you.

The Zoo

About a month ago we went to the Ashboro zoo. We had a great time seeing all the animals. It was a pretty busy weekend for the zoo, so it was hard to stay together and linger over each animal. I think if we went again we would go during the week. We all still had a great time and so glad "grandma" could come with us. Daddy and Abel Man (when did he get grown?)

Boys!

So this is what happened when we added the brothers to the Easter photo shoot - crazy. A bunch of silly faces, wiggly bodies, Charlotte in a head-lock, and poking Marta. Well at least we tried :-) and don't worry no one was hurt in the making of these pictures.

He Is Risen!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday celebrating the risen Christ. We got to worship with our church family and then had a fun day outside with our families. I got these few pics of the girls, Charlotte and Marta, in their pretty dresses. When the brothers joined in the photo shoot got a little crazy. (I will post some of those out-takes soon)
