Samuel is following in his sisters footsteps. At the end he says "cheesey," or at least he tries.

CHINA!

Early August the Lord made a way for James and I to go to China for a week with another man and his daughter from our church.  James and I were greatly encouraged by the work Christ is doing in the nations.  We were also thankful to be able to encourage our friends living there.

Our sisters were gracious to keep our children while we were gone, and they all had a great time at the "long sleepover". 

 We were in a "small" city and this is the view from our hotel window - not bad :)

 We enjoyed many dinners out together.  This is one of the more upscale restaurant.

 James enjoyed bartering in the market.  Unfortunately he we unsuccessful in buying a banana and was told "I don't want your money". Maybe next time ;)

We were able to visit some small villages, the landscapes were beautiful.

 This was one of the trip highlights.  We were invited into a family's home, served tea and had some great conversations.

Easter 2012

Baby Elizabeth Kate!

  

Our sweet friends Martha and Ryan Moore welcomed baby number three into their family yesterday at 4:10pm.  We got to visit them today in the hospial and everyone is doing well.  Abel and Charlotte had a great time holding baby Elizabeth.  We all look forward to seeing her again soon. Praise the Lord for sweet baby Elizabeth Kate!

NCHE

We won first prize at the NCHE homeschool conference. All the stuff with a blue ribbon is for us. We're so blessed. Thank the Lord! It's so perfect for us just starting out, easily thousands of dollars worth of material. We're so undeserving, what a great gift!

This has been a wonderful weekend. Thank you Castillos and Andersons for watching our kids.

Anniversary

On Tuesday Sonya and I celebrated our eight year wedding anniversary. We went with the kids to Kanki to celebrate. The we all had a great time, especially the kids.
